Position Description The candidate engineer must have a sound technical knowledge and experience in the design and troubleshooting of industrial stationary mechanical equipment; primarily piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers and valves. He will provide engineering support to plant operations and maintenance. In addition, he should perform through technical assessments, studies, analyses and investigations on plant problems. Moreover, he should have through knowledge about the latest industrial standards; mainly ASME, API and ASTM. Preferred to be familiar with the utilization of computational simulations like Fluent, Phathom, CEASAR or other computer simulation software in the field of mechanical engineering.
Minimum Requirements A. EDUCATION: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. B. EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years of experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Fluent in English language.
Duties & Responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities Major duties include but not limited to: A. Conduct engineering studies and assessments B. Respond to technical support requests C. Review outside design packages D. Support commissioning of Major Projects E. Develop and / or review piping repair procedures F. Participate in major equipment trips and failure investigations G. Lead and recommend piloting of new technologies, improvement solutions or modifications to enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of existing facility. H. Provide assistance and training for the development of young engineers.
