Position Description Aramco are looking to hire a number of Plant & Equipment (P&E) Inspectors to perform and monitor an advanced level of complex inspection activities with the following functions and responsibilities:- A. Carry out on-stream condition monitoring of operating plants and QA/QC of all maintenance activities and project work to ensure safe and reliable operations. B. Conduct internal and external planned and unplanned inspections on all static equipments /facilities. C. Coordinate with the NDT group after determining the appropriate NDT method applicable to assess the equipment condition. D. Evaluate the results of all visual inspection and NDT data and determine the most optimal cost effective repair method and issue an inspection report outlining the repair procedure and QA/QC steps. E. Monitor the repairs as per company/ international standards for their final acceptance after the required tests. F. Issue final inspection reports documenting all the findings, NDT results, repairs, testing and recommendations for future. G. Maintain inspection files, records and keep them up to date. H. Issue welding procedure when required and monitor all fabrication works. I. Identify the type of corrosion / deterioration to the equipment or piping and initiate appropriate monitoring methods in consultation with process and corrosion groups. J. Attend daily meetings with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering (OME) groups for respective units. K. Prepare job lists for shutdown testing and inspection (T&I) requirements for all equipment and piping circuits and participates to finalize the T&I scope of work. L. Anticipate equipment and piping retirement and initiate appropriate steps. M.Train the local Inspectors on the job and off the job. N. Coordinate with all concerned on daily basis. O. Work with minimum supervision following all safety procedures and company rules and regulations.
Minimum Requirements Candidate are expected to meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:- A. B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering is essential B. At least SEVEN years in the oil or similar process industry of direct inspection experience C. Holds an API 510, API570, API653, AWS, Coating, NDT or any other Certificates related to Inspection are preference. D. Sound knowledge of international codes/ standards applicable to inspection (ASTM, API, ASME, TEMA, NACE, ANSI etc) E. Thorough knowledge of various forms of corrosion and their identification along with monitoring and mitigation methods. F. Full understanding of different NDT methods and their application for equipment and piping monitoring and inspection. G. Good communication skills (verbal and written). H. Must be in good health due to physical requirements of the job and shall be able to climb tall columns or structures.
Duties & Responsibilities A. Prepare approvals of the problem solving report plans, schedules and provides coordination and work direction as required for the preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of project. B. Formulates the basis for an engineering study or project or design in any basic or special engineering field by analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to assignment. Evaluates data as to scope, effect on existing installation, economic value, long range planning and budgetary considerations. C. Leads and recommends new continuous improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within specific fields of endeavor. Estimates costs, prepares justifications and completes expenditure requests as required D. Support project execution and project proposals and initiates detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic processes, and/or equipment. Performs work and or delegates work to other engineers and final development of specialized or technical proposals and studies of proposed projects. E. Discusses, coordinates and resolves problems with personnel throughout Aramco and subsidiaries and with outside of Company organizations. Acts as technical consultant when required. F. Reviews work of engineers directed. Checks that reports are written according to established methods of good report presentation. Makes recommendations for future study or report changes. Approves reports for transmittal to supervisor. Reviews work of third party, technology reports, and engineering standards. G. Lead the implementation and operation of all kind of recommended solutions.
