The Asset Integrity Engineer (AIE) will be responsible to specify, develop, and implement an Asset Integrity Program for Oxy’s Mukhaizna Field. In addition, the Asset Integrity Engineer will:
- Direct & supervise asset integrity testing and interpret results for Operating Teams/Management
- Conduct & document formal RCFA process along with making valid recommendations on extending operating life and the mean time between failure for Thermally Enhanced Oil Recovery (TEOR) piping and process equipment
- Identify problems with piping & equipment being used outside of specification and recommend corrective actions
- Make operating & maintenance recommendations to prolong life, reduce costs of TEOR piping & equipment
- Consult and advise on new equipment selections for long life, low operating costs and reduced maintenance
- Analyze equipment and process trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Be an integral person in the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Develop and maintain auditable record system of testing and test results
- Develop & institute statistical process controls as it relates to asset integrity testing and monitoring
- Mentor operating staff to ensure operational excellence including effective piping & equipment surveillance
